YOUR MENOPAUSE COACH - 4 MIN READ

A New Generation of Menopause Care

Before I became a Menopause Coach and Functional Health Practitioner, I spent years in the classroom—teaching across vastly different communities, from under-resourced Navajo reservations in New Mexico to prestigious international schools in Taipei, and public and private schools along the Sunshine Coast, QLD. I was passionate about education, driven by empathy, and committed to giving people the tools to better their lives.

On the outside, I looked like the picture of discipline and health. I exercised daily, followed every new wellness trend, and carefully tracked my weight and food. I was doing everything “right”—or so I thought.

But underneath that high-achieving surface, I was inflamed, depleted, and quietly burning out. I had unknowingly fallen into the trap that so many women do: chasing health through restriction, overtraining, and perfectionism—without addressing what was happening beneath the surface. I didn’t know it then, but I was slowly unraveling. I was the living proof that you can tick every box and still feel like you’re falling apart.

It wasn’t until menopause arrived for someone I love deeply—my mother—that everything shifted. Her decline pulled back the curtain on how deeply misunderstood and overlooked this phase of life truly is.

That moment changed everything for me.

UNDERSTAND MY PASSION

Why Menopause Wellness is So Close to My Heart?

Watching my mother deteriorate during menopause was one of the most painful experiences of my life. She was once a vibrant, strong, mentally sharp woman who filled every room she entered with energy and laughter. But over time, I saw that light dim. She began to struggle with brain fog, weakness, emotional instability, and a complete loss of physical function. Eventually, she became a paraplegic. It’s been 15 years now—and she has never regained the life she once had.

Her decline wasn’t inevitable. It was preventable. She didn’t just “get old”—she was failed by a system that didn’t understand the hormonal shifts happening inside her body. She was told she was “fine,” that her symptoms were just part of aging, and that she should learn to live with them. That dismissal led to a slow, devastating loss of quality of life.

That experience lit a fire in me that has never gone out. I didn’t enter this field because of my own menopause experience—I haven’t reached that chapter yet. I entered it because I saw what happens when we don’t act. And I decided I would not stand by while other women go through what my mum did.

People sometimes ask how I can coach women through menopause if I haven’t experienced it myself. But we don’t expect a brain surgeon to have survived a brain tumour to be qualified to operate. What matters is the depth of training, the quality of evidence, and the results you help people achieve. That’s what I bring to the table—alongside a relentless drive to make sure no woman is dismissed, misdiagnosed, or made to feel like she’s imagining things ever again.

COACHING METHODOLOGY

My Approach

My coaching isn’t based on trends, guesswork, or personal anecdotes. It’s built on years of academic study, clinical insight, and a science-backed understanding of how menopause impacts every system in the body—from the brain to the gut, the heart to the bones.

I’ve invested in advanced certifications in Functional Nutrition, Functional Blood Work Analysis, Epigenetic Health Coaching, and Functional Movement for Longevity. This multidisciplinary lens allows me to look beyond symptoms and dig deep into the root causes—whether it’s blood sugar instability, chronic inflammation, poor liver detoxification, or hormone imbalances that were overlooked for years.

Menopause is not just about hot flushes or irregular periods. It’s a major neuroendocrine shift that affects cognition, metabolism, cardiovascular risk, mental health, and much more. And yet, most GPs receive minimal training in this space. That’s why so many women are told they’re “too young for menopause,” or that their symptoms are “normal.” But just because something is common doesn’t mean it’s normal—or that it should be tolerated.

I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Every woman’s story is different, and so is her biology. That’s why I combine detailed intake assessments with functional testing, nutritional strategy, lifestyle coaching, and ongoing support that meets you where you are.

You don’t need to suffer in silence. And you certainly don’t need to settle for vague advice or band-aid solutions. My role is to help you understand what’s really going on in your body, and empower you with a clear, personalised roadmap to reclaim your energy, clarity, strength, and confidence.
